My approach is person-centered, practical, collaborative and social justice-based. I strive to meet clients with a warm and joyful manner as we experience music together.
My role at Winchester Community Music School:
As a Board-Certified Music Therapist and Program Coordinator at Winchester Community Music School I provide 1-1 music therapy sessions with children and adults at the music school with individualized goals. I also lead an on-site Music Therapy Support Group utilizing music therapy with the Liberation Health Model (see People with Parkinsons Music Therapy) as well as a group for individuals with cognitive and memory challenges (see Musical Memories). I also provide music therapy in the community- leading and maintaining community contracted music therapy groups throughout the Winchester area.
As a music therapist I sing, play guitar, ukulele, piano and use small percussion, adaptive instruments, and utilize communication and movement tools.I specialize with older adults but also work with children with varying goals.
